§ 8.12.040. Permit required.

  • A.

    A permit issued by animal services is required before a person may keep domestic fowl. An annual domestic fowl permit fee shall be established in accordance with Section 3.42.040 of these ordinances.

    B.

    Prior to issuance of any domestic fowl permit, applicants shall submit a completed written application which complies with the requirements of this chapter and is signed and certified as true and accurate by the applicant. All requirements, attachments and fees set forth on the application shall be satisfied and submitted to Animal Services, before the application shall be deemed completed. The following information shall be provided:

    1.

    A completed and signed application.

    2.

    The appropriate fee shall be paid.

    3.

    As part of the initial application process, the applicant shall consent in writing to an on-site inspection of coop, enclosure and surroundings, by county representatives. Any on-site inspection shall be conducted at reasonable hours and with reasonable notice.

    4.

    Permits must be renewed and the fee paid annually.
